Reception curriculum

The curriculum offered at Reception will further focus on the key areas of the EYFS and prepares children for Key Stage 1:Communication, Language and Literacy – Phonics, introduction to reading, writing and communication in different situations.Mathematical Development – we will focus on many areas of mathematics including sorting, ordering, recognition, sequencing and matching. Knowledge and Understanding of the World – science, history, geography and ICT.Physical Education – music and movement, yoga, swimming and outdoor activities.Creative Development – Art, musical instruments and craft activities.Personal, Social and Emotional Development – confidence and skill building activities.
